Tom Nisbet and Alan McQueen have both been performing individually for a very long time and they both now live in Eyemouth in the Scottish Borders. During the thirty-plus years that Tom was singing with 'The Podlies' he played all over the Scottish Borders and once ventured as far as Malle, in France, for a weekend festival! He has even 'supped' with a couple of well-known Royal Princes when he was playing at a wedding party in Coldstream! Alan started singing and playing guitar when he was just fourteen. In the Sixties, he played locally with a rock band called 'The Strangers' and, at the same time, used to play folk music in local pubs - especially in Eyemouth and Berwick-upon-Tweed. Since starting to sing as a duo, they've built a solid reputation as 'good value' entertainers in the venues and events that they've played - have a look at our Previous Gigs page for more information. |
